Hire a School Based Apprentice

Young Australians can get a head start with their careers by beginning an Australian Apprenticeship while still working towards their senior secondary certificate. Australian School-based Apprenticeships are a great career option, allowing young Australians to get credits towards a vocational qualification and earn a wage while completing their senior secondary certificate.

The School Based Apprenticeship program gives you an opportunity to give experience to students while still attending school (1– 2 days per week and school holidays if required) that may lead to a full time position with you or another employer. What better way to help a keen student get a start in a career.

Students have the potential to earn while they learn. What a great opportunity to give a young person the experience of their first job while still having the opportunity to stay study at school.

What does an Australian School-based Apprenticeship involve?

An Australian School-based Apprentice undertakes a combination of school, paid work and training. Training arrangements can involve on or off-the-job training or a combination of both so that the needs of both the Australian Apprentice and the employer are satisfied.
