WPC Group and Leader Newspapers are on target to place 101 people in jobs within 101 days. To date, the groundbreaking Jobs 101 campaign, launched on September 12, 2011, has placed 83 people into Apprenticeships and Traineeships in a diverse range of occupations. Prime Minister Julia Gillard welcomed the initiative. Each week over 1.8 million Melbournians have read about the importance of skilled careers in Australia and how apprenticeship training programs will help reduce skills gaps. There have been 315 articles published in 33 Leader Community Newspaper titles in the past 71 days making this Australia’s largest ever media jobs campaign focused on Apprentices and Trainees.
